Minimum wage a major focus at Tucna congress

WALVIS BAY, 30 APR (NAMPA) – The implementation of a minimum wage remains a thorn in the flesh for trade unions and workers in Namibia, with some workers still being paid less than the average wage.
This is according to Trade Union Congress of Namibia (Tucna) president, Paulus Hango, who noted that despite the establishment of the National Minimum Wage Commission three years ago, minimum wage protections remain elusive.
