Taxi fare to decrease

WINDHOEK, 22 OCT (NAMPA) – Taxi fares will decrease to the normal rate effective from midnight on Thursday following an increase put in place to subdue the economic impact of the COVID-19 restrictions, Justice Minister Yvonne Dausab has said.
Speaking at the Presidential COVID-19 public briefing on Wednesday, Dausab said the regulations on the number of passengers taxis can accommodate have been relaxed and because they are now allowed to load passengers to full capacity, the fare will decrease.
