The Paris Court of Appeals delivers its verdict in the case against filmmaker Christophe Ruggia, for whom prosecutors had requested a three-year prison sentence without probation for sexually assaulting actress Adèle Haenel when she was between the ages of 12 and 14. In this case, which came to light in 2019 in a Mediapart investigation, the 61-year-old filmmaker was sentenced in the first instance in February 2025 to four years in prison, two of which are to be served under electronic monitoring.
