RUNDU, 01 DEC (NAMPA) – The remains of the 34 people who perished in an airplane crash in northern Namibia on Friday, were airlifted to Windhoek on Sunday morning with a plane of the Namibia Defence Force (NDF).
An NDF plane cabin crew member told this reporter on condition of anonymity shortly before taking off that the remains will be airlifted in two rounds, as they cannot transport all the 34 remains at once.
The military airplane can apparently only take up to 15 passengers at a time.
