The Namibia Press Agency, (NAMPA), was established in 1991 as a national news agency responsible for the distribution of local, regional and international news.

NAMPA Omaheke Regional Bureau

The Omaheke Regional Bureau is based in the town of Gobabis, located some 200 kilometers from the capital Windhoek in the East of Namibia.

The office is responsible for providing news and events coverage for Gobabis and the entire Omaheke Region.

As the region is largely made out of settlements and villages, the news agency mainly provides news coverage for areas such as Buitepos, Aminuis, Otjombinde, Epukiro, Otjinene, Steinhausen, Eiseb Block, Leonardville and Omitara among others.
