Analysis: World's top banks upped fossil fuel financing by 8% in 2025

London (PA Media/dpa) - The world's biggest banks together increased their fossil fuel financing by 8% last year, an analysis has found. The top 65 lenders - which include UK giants Barclays, HSBC, Natwest and Lloyds Banking Group - committed to investing $906 billion, the 17th annual Banking on Climate Chaos report said.
