A UK armed forces member was killed in a "tragic accident" in Ukraine while observing a weapons test away from the frontline, the first death of a serving British soldier in the nearly four-year war, the defence ministry said on Tuesday. "It is with deep regret that we must announce that a member of the UK Armed Forces died in Ukraine this morning," the Ministry of Defence said.
