Colombo Port suspends operations amid heavy rains, strong winds

COLOMBO, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka has temporarily suspended operations at the Colombo Port due to severe weather conditions, the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) announced on Saturday. According to the SLPA, all terminal operations were halted after heavy rains and strong winds created unsafe conditions for port workers and vessels.
