Over 1 ton of methamphetamine seized in eastern Myanmar

YANGON, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized over one ton of methamphetamine, or Ice, in eastern Myanmar's Shan state, the daily The Mirror reported on Saturday. Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police searched a vehicle in Loilem town on Nov. 16, seizing 1.117 tons of Ice and arresting two suspects, the report said.
