China's JD.com takes 70.9% stake in German electronics giant Ceconomy

Dusseldorf (dpa) - Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com has taken a major step forward in its takeover of German electronics giant Ceconomy, the parent company of major retailers MediaMarkt and Saturn. The Chinese company's total stake stands at 70.9%, Ceconomy announced in Düsseldorf on Friday after the end of an initial term of acceptance.  The share package now controlled by JD.com includes a 25.4% stake held by Convergenta, the investment company......
