Frankfurt (dpa) - German industrial energy consumption rose in 2024 after two years of decline, official figures showed on Friday. According to the Federal Statistical Office, energy demand grew by 1.9% to 3,343 petajoules. However, the increase came from a low level: in 2022 and 2023, consumption had slumped by 9.1% and 7.8% respectively.
