Berlin (dpa) - The German Council of Economic Experts has lowered its growth forecast for 2026, projecting gross domestic product (GDP) expansion of 0.9%, according to its annual report released on Wednesday. Earlier this year, the council forecast growth of 1% for 2026, while the government has projected GDP to rise 1.3%.
