Nearly 70% of Russians Believe That Soviet Years Made Them Different From Europeans - Poll

MOSCOW, November 12 (RIA Novosti) - The majority of Russians (67%) believe that over 75 years of Soviet era they have become unlike citizens of Western countries, a survey conducted by Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) showed on Wednesday. Eight out of 10 Russians over 60 years old (79%), who took part in the poll, agreed that the Soviet years had made the Russian people different from Europeans.
