Looser wins fifth Desert Dash as Adrian wins her first
Written by Kondjeni Ambinga on 07 December 2019.WINDHOEK, 07 DEC (NAMPA) – Swiss national Konny Looser won the men’s 2019 Nedbank Namibia Desert Dash for the fifth time in a row Sunday morning in a time of 14 hours, 42 minutes and 02 seconds (14:52:21) in the solo category.
The 20th edition of the race also saw 26-year-old Namibian Vera Adrian win the women’s race for the first time in a time of 17:10:50.
The Desert Dash is Namibia’s longest cycling race at 373 kilometres from Windhoek to Swakopmund over a period of 24 hours through the desert.
