DRC shows interest in remaining governmental objective horse mackerel quotas

WALVIS BAY, 22 SEP (NAMPA) – The Namibian and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Governments are in talks to sell the remaining governmental objective quotas of 27 300 metric tons of horse mackerel to DRC.
According to the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Derek Klazen at an induction of new fishing rights holders here on Wednesday, the quotas are a remainder of the 87 500 metric tonnes that were auctioned off to both national and international companies earlier this year.
