NALAWU and Opuwo Town Council sign recognition agreement

OPUWO, 06 DEC (NAMPA) - The Namibia Local Authority Workers Union (NALAWU) on Friday signed a recognition agreement with the Opuwo Town Council.
Speaking at the ceremony, Opuwo Mayor Albert Tjiuma said the town council is committed to the principle of collective bargaining and it recognises the important role of NALAWU in promoting and developing good employee relations and health and safety practices.
The union was founded in 2012 and registered as a trade union in 2013.
