MTC will not renew NPL sponsorship deal

WINDHOEK, 06 DEC (NAMPA) – Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) will not renew its sponsorship deal with the beleaguered Namibia Premier League (NPL) when the current agreement ceases at the end of the 2019/20 season, which is yet to start.
In a letter addressed to NPL Chief Executive Officer, Harald Füller, and seen by this agency, MTC’s Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer, Tim Ekandjo, said the sponsor was unhappy with the current status quo of football in the country.
