NamPol Khomas head clarifies shooting incident

WINDHOEK, 15 OCT (NAMPA) – The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Monday refuted allegations circulating on social media that a member of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) shot a civilian at the weekend.
NamPol’s Khomas Region Commissioner, Joseph Shikongo, made the clarification during a media briefing on Monday.
“I want to make it categorically clear that during the period under review, as reported, we did not have any NDF member involved in [the] shooting of a civilian as reported,” he said.
