Trio gets 18 months imprisonment for escaping custody
Written by Isabel Bento on 19 March 2019.SWAKOPMUND, 19 MAR (NAMPA) – Three men rearrested after they escaped from the Swakopmund Police Station holding cells in February, were found guilty on charges of escaping from lawful custody and were sentenced to 18 months imprisonment.
The trio - Matias Nujoma 27, Stephanus Ngenokesho, 24, and Fabianus Lazarus, 26 - who were all incarcerated on separate murder charges for which they are awaiting trial, were on Monday sentenced by Magistrate Nelao Brown.
