Namibia receives record 1.5 million tourists in 2017
Written by Wayera Sonia Namadiko on 13 December 2018.WINDHOEK, 13 DEC (NAMPA) - Close to 1.5 million tourists visited Namibia during the year 2017, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) has found.
According to a 2017 Annual Tourist Statistical Report presented at a media briefing here on Thursday, Namibia received 1 499 442 tourists in 2017, a 2,1 per cent increase from 2016, with visitors from Angola, South Africa, Zambia, Germany and Zimbabwe accounting for over half of that figure.
