WINDHEOK, 23 JUN (NAMPA) – “We wept, we wept for a man of the world, we wept for a son of the continent, we wept for a hero of the country”.
These were the words of President Hage Geingob during the late Andimba Toivo ya Toivo’s memorial service held in the capital on Friday.
Geingob said Ya Toivo was a distinguished freedom fighter, a patriot and a bearer of the ethos of southern Africa’s long and bitter struggle for independence.
