Namibia's first locally trained doctors on internship
Written by Esme Rusberg on 27 May 2016.WINDHOEK, 27 MAY (NAMPA) - The first 35 locally trained medical doctors who graduated in April, are currently on internship at various hospitals around the country.
Registrar of the Health Professions Councils of Namibia Cornelius Weyulu said the students are registered as medical interns with the Medical and Dental Council of Namibia, and have to undergo supervised internship before the same council licenses them as medical practitioners.
