WINDHOEK, 15 APR (NAMPA) – The Ministry of Health and Social Services says Namibia has now reached polio-free status, as outbreaks have been eradicated countrywide.
The Director of Primary Health-Care, Maggy Nghatanga said during a media briefing on Monday that the MoHSS has managed to control the outbreaks through the process of monitoring the viral illness by collecting stools and continuing with immunisation campaigns during the births of children.
