UN commemorates 69th anniversary

WINDHOEK, 24 OCT (NAMPA) - The United Nations (UN) in Namibia commemorated its 69th anniversary with the rest of the world on Friday.
Speaking at the event, National Assembly Speaker Theo-Ben Gurirab applauded the UN for a job well done, noting that it was the “best idea ever for all times and for the entire humanity.”
He applauded the UN for holding up the mirror of the real world and the interests of States and governments, but also for peace and co-operation.
