Geingob bids farewell to "father, mentor" Iyambo

WINDHOEK, 01 JUN (NAMPA) - President Hage Geingob referred to Dr Nickey Iyambo as his father and mentor when he paid his last respects during his burial at Heroes’ Acre outside Windhoek on Saturday.
Iyambo, who amongst others served as Namibia’s first vice president, died on 19 May at the age of 82.
“Comrade, we mourn you; father, brother, we weep for you. Go well my father, mentor and friend,” Geingob said while fighting back tears.
