Government reiterates call for measures in drought affected areas

WINDHOEK, 18 FEB (NAMPA) – Government has reiterated its call on farmers in drought affected areas to take relevant precautionary measures to avoid further loss of their livestock, amid weak rain prospects.
In its annual Agricultural Inputs and Household Food Security Monitoring Assessment report for 2018, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry (MAWF) said these measures include de-stocking or even culling to contain the number of livestock farmers are able to save.
