DSP detected in mussels and oysters

SWAKOPMUND, 12 JAN (NAMPA) – The Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources has warned the public against the consumption of mussels and oysters due to the recent detection of the Diarrhetic Shellfish Poison (DSP).
DSP is one of the four recognised symptom types of shellfish poisoning, with the others being paralytic, neurotoxic and amnesic shellfish poison.
