US Embassy trains Namibian firefighters

WINDHOEK, 14 DEC (NAMPA) – The United States (US) Embassy on Wednesday concluded its training on the Incident Command System (ICS) for the Windhoek Emergency Management Division.
The first training conducted by instructors and experts from the US Forest Service (USFS), was held in August 2016, a media release from the embassy on Friday stated.
The Incident Command System is designed to enable firefighters to effectively and efficiently manage disaster operations and emergency response.
