1 (WINDHOEK, 18 JUL, NAMPA) – Namibia will observe a period of mourning between Wednesday and Friday in honour of late Theo-Ben Gurirab who served as Namibia’s first Foreign Affairs Minister, Prime Minister and Speaker of the National Assembly.

President Hage Geingob declared the national mourning period on Tuesday in terms of Sub-article (8) of Article 32 of the Namibian Constitution.
