Schlettwein justifies Ministry of Defence budget allocation

WINDHOEK, 08 MAR (NAMPA) – The high expenditure on the Ministry of Defence in the 2018/19 National Budget was a decision taken by Parliament, Minister of Finance Calle Schlettwein has said.
He was responding to concerns by the business community during a budget review dinner in the capital on Wednesday, after tabling the budget earlier in the day.
This ministry was allocated N.dollars 5 959 615 000 for the 2018/19 financial year and last year received N.dollars 5 683 569 000.
