Mass prayer at Okahandja for genocide lawsuit

OKAHANDJA, 14 JAN (NAMPA) – Descendants of the 1904-08 Nama and Ovaherero genocide victims, supporters and sympathisers convened in Okahandja on Saturday to pray for good fortune ahead of the federal class action lawsuit in New York, United States of America (US) later this month.
The lawsuit was filed in the US Federal Court by Paramount Chief of the Ovaherero Traditional Authority, Advocate Vekuii Rukoro and the late Chairperson of the Nama Traditional Authorities Association, David Frederick.
