BANGKOK -- Five government troops were killed and four others seriously injured in a blast in southern Thailand on Monday, police said.
The bomb, believed to have been planted by an unknown group of local insurgents, blew up and killed five non-commissioned soldiers and wounded four others on a road in Thung Yang Daeng district of Pattani province, about 1,055 km south of Bangkok.(Thailand-Blast)
